Makloc Construction Inc. is a family owned leader in the Construction Industry; with an emphasis on Design/Build and Pre-Engineered Steel Construction while supporting custom development for commercial, retail, oil and gas, heavy industry, and agriculture industries in Western Canada.We are looking for a passionate, self-starter Business Development Manager, who is interested in working in a fast-paced team environment and is excited to learn our business and grow our market share in the industry.Reporting to the VP of Operations, MakLoc Construction is seeking a full time Business Development representative to contribute to the growth of the company by maximizing revenue through directed outside sales activities. The position will be based out of our Nisku head office, and the territory will include Alberta and Saskatchewan.Business Development management responsibilities include developing long-term relationships with existing clients, and new prospects in the assigned territory through connecting with key business executives and stakeholders.Key Accountabilities (included, but not limited to):Initiate and develop strong relationships with existing accounts and qualified prospects in the assigned territoryNew business prospecting and development, including cold calling, scheduling and conducting client introductions, face-to-face client meetings; preparing presentations, demonstrations, proposals and value propositions to clients/prospects and respond to RFIs and RFPsBuild rapport with existing accounts and new prospects alike by developing subject matter expertise of the Construction IndustryContinuously engage clients in discussions to understand and anticipate needs, and communicate keys to project success with Management, and Makloc’s internal estimating departmentManage and maintain Makloc’s Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system with up to date sales activities, outstanding bid status, and key client informationPrepare monthly sales forecasts and market/client condition updatesPromote Makloc Construction Inc. through various means: face-to-face meetings, trade shows, web presence, mail-outs, etc.Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operationsDevelop and manage ongoing client touch point campaign to ensure time is effectively managed and balanced between existing accounts and new prospectsDevelop new sales strategies and processes to support our corporate goal of continuous improvementEstablish trendsetter ideas relating to Makloc’s sales activities and web presenceSupport Makloc’s internal project management team throughout the execution of projects, as neededRequirementsProven Account Management/Business Development or other relevant experience5+ years of related sales experience is requiredExisting relationships within the construction industry will be considered an assetExperience in a construction related industry will be considered an assetExperience in the oil and gas industry will be considered an assetPost Secondary education is required (related technical diploma, or Bachelor of Commerce is preferred)Experience in B2B sales is preferredMust be a self starting, energetic individualSense of urgency and demonstrated commitment to client satisfactionAbility to effectively prioritize tasks and work with limited supervisionMust possess strong organizational, time management, qualification, communication, and analytical skillsMust be goal orientated, and track/report individual as well as department activities/resultsDemonstrated ability to communicate and present oneself credibly and effectively at all organizational levelsExperience in delivering client-focused solutions based on client needsExcellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skillsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)Other:Requires a valid driver’s license and clean driver’s abstractAbility to travel across a regionMUST be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol testAbility to travel within Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, and further as required #J-18808-Ljbffr
