OverviewThe Business Systems Analyst – ServiceNow is a technical BSA responsible for delivering ServiceNow integration and ITSM solutions by translating business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications. This role works closely with business partners, technology teams, and project stakeholders to support moderately to highly complex initiatives in an agile delivery environment.ResponsibilitiesElicit, analyze, document, and manage business, functional, and non-functional requirementsDevelop solution recommendations by assessing current-state systems and defining future-state capabilitiesTranslate business requirements into detailed functional specificationsSupport testing teams by converting requirements into test scenarios, conditions, and expected resultsParticipate in project scoping, estimating, risk identification, and mitigation planningCommunicate status, risks, and issues, escalating to the Project Manager as requiredParticipate in quality management reviews of designs, prototypes, and requirements artifactsCollaborate with stakeholders to assess process and system integration impactsEnsure adherence to BSA best practices, enterprise delivery standards, and governance frameworksMaintain continuous communication with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleSupport development of business cases, RFI/RFPs, and vendor SLAsManage workload across single or multiple concurrent projectsCoach and support less experienced analysts and contribute to knowledge transferIdentify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational effectivenessRequired Skills & QualificationsEducation & Experience:Undergraduate degree or Technical Certificate5–7 years of relevant Business Systems Analyst experienceMust-Have Experience:5+ years as a ServiceNow Business Systems Analyst2+ years driving ServiceNow integration projects3+ years working with Confluence and JIRA3+ years in Agile delivery environments3+ years with ITIL processes / ITSM solutionsTechnical & Functional SkillsAdvanced knowledge of systems analysis methodologiesStrong understanding of system components, interfaces, data flows, and business rulesAdvanced knowledge of enterprise technology delivery practices (design, development, testing, project management)Ability to perform end-to-end BSA activities with minimal supervisionSoft SkillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong critical thinking and problem-solving abilitiesEffective time management and prioritization skillsAbility to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesProven initiative and ability to deliver results independentlyCertificationsRequired:ServiceNow CertificationsCertified System Administrator (CSA)Nice-to-Have:SAFe PO/PM 6.0ITIL CertificationAdditional NotesThis role requires technical BSA experience (not business-only BSA)Strong focus on ServiceNow platforms and integration projectsAbout the CompanyTop 10 Bank in Canada and North AmericaA leading financial institution providing retail, commercial, wealth management, and wholesale banking services.
