We are looking for a dynamic and client focused Infrastructure Systems Consultant for our Toronto branch to make a meaningful impact as a member of the Managed IT Support (MITS) team Focused on operations and post-implementation support and training, you will act as a trusted advisor who will provide technical guidance and support to our clients. The role is hybrid/onsite and will require someone local to Barrie/Orillia region.

A Day in the Life:
  • Provide technical guidance to clients on-site and remotely as an infrastructure specialist
  • Maintain and administer computer networks and related computing environments including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems, and replace defective components when necessary
  • Configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
  • Analyze equipment performance records to determine the need for repair or replacement
  • Participate in recommending changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
  • Participate in gathering data pertaining to customer needs, and use the information to identify, predict, interpret, and evaluate system and network requirements
What You Bring:
  • 10+ years of experience in an infrastructure support role
  • Experience with the following:
  • - Windows Server 2012 R2, Windows Server 2016, NetApp, IP Telephony experience
  • - Windows 10 operating system imaging, deployment and management framework, utilizing MDT
  • - VMware, Citrix and Netscaler ADC experience
  • - Cisco infrastructure experience
  • - SCCM experience
  • - SQL servers administration
  • - Backup management
  • - Group Policy management and creation
  • - Server management using scripting
  • Ability to produce effective documentation, implementation plans, problem resolution and incident workarounds
  • Client-oriented mindset with the ability to adapt to multiple client environments
