Credit Specialist- Bilingual

The Opportunity Reporting to the Credit Manager, the Credit Specialist is responsible for performing credit duties for accounts assigned within a credit portfolio at Wajax Limited. The key tasks for the position are the timely completion of credit applications, on-demand and annual credit reviews, customer order releases and managing account holds. The Role Process incoming credit requests and new credit applications. Releasing orders for internal customers. Complete update reviews on pending orders when required. Perform scheduled credit reviews of existing customers. Communicate with collections department when required. Placing accounts on and releasing accounts from order holds. Conduct business within established authority levels. Represent the company in a professional and ethical manner and maintain effective relationships with internal departments and staff while maintaining confidentiality. The Candidate Bilingual in French (advanced) both written and spoken Previous experience in an accounts receivable Credit department required. CCP designation or enrollment in the CCP program considered an asset. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in all aspects of MS office – Intermediate level Excellent interpersonal skills along with strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to review data, problem solve and provide recommendations. Ensure presentation of information is professional, timely, and accurate Aptitude for learning multiple ERP platforms and other credit software. Familiar with commercial credit reporting documents. Willingness to learn and develop.
