Your ability to balance hands‑on technical leadership with strategic planning will directly impact our growth trajectory and market position. Role: Leads the technical architecture, infrastructure, and development of ATEK's monitoring platform and embedded systems, ensuring reliability, scalability, and security for critical environments in research, healthcare, and pharmaceutical facilities. Leverages AI-powered tools for documentation and strategic technical planning. Responsibilities: Design and maintain the complete technical architecture for ATEK's cloud‑based monitoring platform and IoT infrastructure Develop and execute multi‑year technology roadmaps aligned with business growth objectives Lead and scale the technical team through mentorship, process development, and strategic hiring Communicate technical strategy and initiative alignment to the leadership team in clear, business‑focused terms Lead full‑stack development of web applications across production, staging, and development environments Architect and implement database solutions (MongoDB, PostgreSQL) ensuring data integrity and performance Oversee embedded systems development (C++) for monitoring devices and calibration systems Manage cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud Platform) and ensure 99.9%+ uptime for critical monitoring services Design and maintain disaster recovery plans, backup procedures, and security protocols Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Sales teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions Leverage AI tools for efficient technical documentation and knowledge management Manage vendor relationships with hardware suppliers and technical partners Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing Document all technical systems, processes, and architectural decisions Present quarterly technical strategy updates to the leadership team with clear ROI and business impact Key Processes: Full‑stack web development (front‑end and back‑end) for monitoring applications Cloud infrastructure management and DevOps Database design, optimization, and management (SQL and NoSQL) Embedded systems development and hardware integration API development and third‑party integrations (LoRaWAN, IoT devices) Security management and access control System monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance optimization AI‑assisted technical documentation and knowledge capture Strategic technical planning and roadmap development Team leadership, mentorship, and capacity building Cross‑functional collaboration and stakeholder communication Vendor and supplier technical coordination Key Skills: Proficiency in modern frameworks (Node.js, AngularJS or React) Strong experience with databases (MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis) Embedded systems development (C++, IoT protocols preferred) Deep understanding of cloud platforms (Google Cloud Platform, AWS) Experience with DevOps practices and containerization (Docker) Knowledge of LoRaWAN, IoT device integration, and sensor networks Proficiency with AI‑powered development and documentation tools (Claude, AI coding assistants) Strategic thinking and ability to translate business needs into technical strategy Proven ability to build and lead technical teams through growth phases Exceptional communication skills with ability to present to executive leadership Experience creating and executing product/technology roadmaps Strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and compliance requirements Hardware design understanding (PCB design knowledge is a plus) Excellent problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills request/response formats, authentication methods, and integration guides Infrastructure Documentation: Complete documentation of GCP architecture, services, dependencies, and configurations Database Documentation: Schema designs, indexing strategies, backup/restore procedures, and performance optimization guides Hardware Documentation: PCB designs, Gerber files, embedded code documentation, and calibration procedures Disaster Recovery Plan: Complete DRP including backup procedures, restoration processes, and failover strategies IT Disaster Recovery Plan: Detailed procedures for system recovery and business continuity Cybersecurity Policies: Security protocols, access control procedures, vulnerability management, and compliance documentation Deployment Procedures: Step‑by‑step guides for deploying across all environments (production, staging, development) Vendor Documentation: Specifications, agreements, and technical details for all hardware suppliers and technical partners System Access Documentation: Inventory of all system accesses, permissions, and security protocols Technology Roadmap: Strategic plan for technology initiatives and development priorities aligned with business objectives Product Roadmap: Technical aspects of product development and feature launches AI‑Enhanced Documentation: Leveraging AI tools for maintaining up‑to‑date, comprehensive technical documentation KPIs: Software Delivery Time: Average time to develop and deploy new features, measuring team efficiency and responsiveness Software Quality: Defect rate, code complexity, test coverage, and user feedback ensuring reliability and maintainability Website/Application Performance: Page load speed, uptime (target 99.9%+), error rate, and system response times Infrastructure Reliability: System uptime, incident response time, and mean time to recovery (MTTR) Security Compliance: Adherence to security policies, vulnerability remediation time, and audit compliance Documentation Quality: Completeness and currency of technical documentation, measured by team autonomy and onboarding efficiency Knowledge Transfer Effectiveness: Team's ability to operate systems independently based on provided documentation Strategic Execution: Progress on technology roadmap initiatives and alignment with business objectives Team Development: Team growth, skill advancement, and retention metrics Leadership Communication: Effectiveness of technical strategy communication to leadership (measured by alignment and decision velocity) Preferred Qualifications: 10+ years of full‑stack development experience 5+ years in technical leadership or architecture roles Experience in IoT, monitoring systems, or healthcare/pharmaceutical technology Proven track record of strategic technical planning and execution in scaling organizations Experience building and leading technical teams through growth phases Demonstrated ability to communicate technical strategy to non‑technical
