OverviewTechnical Director role at Moment Factory. This position involves leading technical teams and translating ideas into physical implementations for immersive multimedia environments.Functions And ResponsibilitiesPropose equipment solutions and audiovisual controls according to the design and budget of a projectCalculate projection angles and equipment locations, following guidance given by the concept teamDevelop plans, technical drawings, and diagrams showing equipment placement, electrical hookups, and show control (video/audio)Oversee equipment maintenanceOptimize production fluidityAct as the point person for producers and directors to ensure each project’s technical efficiencyEstablish a symbiotic relationship between the environment, the content, and the technologies used (quality control)Develop daily operational procedures in collaboration with integratorsTravel occasionally to supervise the integration of projects throughout Canada, the U.S., and abroadCoordinate space usage and the scheduling of setup and breakdownEnsure internal technical supportContribute to archiving high-resolution files and updating the database, in collaboration with directors and the in-house archivistPosition’s Expectations4 - 7 years of experience in software, equipment management, and employee supervision, with 3 years in technical direction related to multimediaFamiliarity with AutoCad and SketchupFamiliarity with video playback systems and projection systems (Watchout, Coolux)Advanced mastery of professional French and English—oral and writtenDiploma of College Studies (DEC) in installation and repair of telecommunications equipment or audio-video equipment / Multimedia integration / Theater productionValid driver’s licenseQualitiesA passionate self-starterSkilled in managing human resourcesSkilled in project managementResponsible, independent, and organizedResourceful, with attention to detailTeam spiritAlways seeking innovations in animation, design, and scenographic materialsAdaptable to an evolving environmentGenerous in sharing best practicesAble to clearly communicate ideasPerksHybrid work mode to optimize work-life balanceGroup insurance benefits for you and your familyWellness account for personal expensesYearly budget for an inspiration accountFree access to Dialogue telemedicine service5 paid sick days per yearPersonalized training and skills development plan through Moment Factory SchoolDaily meals, snacks, and coffee availableMoment Factory Life Department for wellness initiativesAt Moment Factory, we work hard because we believe in bringing people together to experience emotions, create connections and form powerful memories.
