Quantitative Analyst Join to apply for the Quantitative Analyst role at S&P Global. Team The Quantitative Analytics Group (QAG) is a global team of experienced quantitative analysts who support several related businesses providing valuation and data products for derivatives and other financial instruments spanning all asset classes and both public and private markets. The team is dynamic and collaborative, tackling a broad range of financial engineering and statistical inference problems while emphasizing the relationship between theory and practice to leverage diverse data sources and deliver best‑in‑class business solutions. About the Role Grade Level (internal use): 12 Responsibilities & Impact Build and maintain a pricing library used for both valuation batch processing and interactive (direct‑to‑client) applications. Work with a global team to integrate new interactive pricing platforms. Implement product specifications into production workflows, primarily coding in Java. Collaborate with operations and product management teams to serve as an escalation point for client queries and troubleshoot existing products. Design, implement, and test methodology innovations and improvements. What We’re Looking For Basic Required Qualifications Undergraduate degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Physics, Engineering). Proficiency in Java, C++ or another object‑oriented programming language; Python experience is an asset. 3‑5 years experience working in financial engineering. Passionate interest in the theoretical and practical aspects of financial engineering, particularly derivatives. Strong communicator and team player who values diverse skills and can explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. Creative and tenacious problem solver. Additional Preferred Qualifications Graduate degree, particularly in financial engineering (asset but not required). Additional industry experience is an asset.
