What you'll be doing.


Contributes to the overall success of the Specialist Digital Learning Platforms, Global Learning CoE / Talent / Global Human Resources globally ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Is this role right for you? In this role you will:

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.

• Operations governance and strategic oversight for learning content library platforms including population management, features and functions implementation and support for platform roadmap planning.

• Enterprise wide implementation and maintenance of curated content channels, programs and learning experiences across learning content and digital learning platforms.

• Support the day to day operations and governance of the Digital Learning Platforms. Including Level 2 support for AskHR requests for content libraries.

• Research and analyze specialized information to recommend solutions to routine platform issues or that arise during the ongoing operation of the business or on projects as assigned.

• Provides system-wide support in the operational governance and upgrade planning of enterprise wide Digital Learning Platforms including: content libraries, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Scotia Academy and content platforms.

• Support Scotia Academy Badging Applause integration – run report jobs, run processing jobs, validations of results

• Support Digital Learning Platform reporting, measurement and dashboards on an ad-hoc basis.

• Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

• Post-secondary Degree or Diploma in Technology Management, Computer Science, Information Technology / Management, Business or Digital Communications 
• In-depth knowledge / experience with Learning Management Systems, Content Libraries (LinkedIn Learning, get Abstract, others), Virtual Classroom Platforms, Content Management Systems and intranet platforms (Jam, Jive, Workzone).
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment 
• Good communication and interpersonal skills 
• Strong analytical skills
• Technical writing
• Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent presentation skills.
• High energy, strong work ethic and positive attitude.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Results oriented with a proven ability to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives.
• Proven teamwork capabilities
• Spanish language skills an asset
