National Account Manager

Magnet is helping our client, a leader in the Food & Beverage CPG space, look for a National Account Manager - Away from Home (Foodservice) to join their team. Reporting to the VP of Sales, you will lead the National Sales & Operations process for the Foodservice business. Your responsibilities will include forecasting/volume planning, demand planning, sales execution, business development, marketing and revenue management. The primary objective of this role is to execute “best in class” performance on key company objectives with the development, implementation, and achievement of departmental goals and reporting targets.
Role Responsibilities:
Volume and Net Sales objectives, along with leading customer development
Account planning and execution accuracy
Profit and volume attainment - improvement
Business development within "white space" of sector
Maximization of trade investments and efficiencies aligned to business objectives
Business and category analysis. Developing & presenting category management solutions
Understand and execute marketing plan sales material
Monitor trade activity execution
Evaluate customer specific reports
Create a detailed database of opportunities by customer, competitive landscape, financials, and timing
Management of several large accounts within the Foodservice sector. Deliver on all role requirements which include: achieving revenue, profit and volume targets while meeting account service expectations
Qualifications:
Post-secondary education in Business administration, Commerce or related field
5+ yrs. Consumer Packaged Goods (Foods) Sales/Key account management experience.
Strong analytical skills & proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong negotiation skills
Strong business and financial acumen: business analytics skills, customer P & L agility, ability to plan, track and evaluate trade management
Demonstrated ability to manage trade spending
Self-Starter with track record of delivering
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Must have Multi Unit National Account experience - either Commercial or Non-Commercial sectors
