Position Overview We are seeking a psychotherapist who is interested in providing intervention for a broad range of mental health conditions in a pediatric population. A strong applicant is high energy, has a positive attitude, and has a passion for helping children and families. Job Summary Provide psychosocial assessments and case formulation to children and adolescents. Responsible for providing individual, group and/or family therapy. Comfortable working with caregivers to provide dynamic interventions. Provide consultation and recommendations to families, liaise with clinicians, school staff, and other relevant agencies. Follow an evidence-based approach to intervention. Manage a varied caseload and meet required timelines. Maintain complete and accurate medical records using the Electronic Medical Record system. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications A. or Ph.D. from a recognized training program of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Course work and previous clinical experience in working with children, adolescents, and families. Knowledge of child and adolescent psychosocial development and psychopathology. Experience / Skills Experience in working with paediatric mental health concerns. Collaborate effectively with members of a multidisciplinary team and work independently. Utilize critical thinking and problem-solving skills in various situations. Proficient in evidence-based approach to intervention. Maintain a high attention to detail. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Interact effectively with children and adults, utilizing excellent interpersonal skills. Manage time efficiently and demonstrate strong organizational skills. Demonstrate grit and adaptability in challenging situations.
