Our client is seeking a smart and passionate Director of Operations for their major branded 5-star hotel property in Nova Scotia.   • Review, develop, and implement policies & procedures that strengthen the team and improve the customer experience.
  • Recruit, develop, supervise, inspire, and evaluate staff and provide feedback throughout their work to ensure top performance.
  • Protect the property and their assets through enforcing and maintaining a preventive maintenance program, ensuring employee and guest safety, orderly operations, compliance with legislative standards, and company expectations.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • A true passion and appreciation for working in a leading 5-star property is essential for success in this role, with 3 to 5 years of similar experience managing a 5-star hotel or resort operation.
  • Must be a versatile and multi-skilled professional passionate about providing personal service and overseeing the rooms division while collaborating with F&B.
  • Independent, self-motivated, creative, ambitious, hands-on, and charismatic.
  • Able to work well with a team and has a proven track record of strong managerial and computer skills.
  • Willing to accept feedback to ensure their goals align with the team and hotel mission.
  • Obtained a bachelor's degree or diploma in Hotel Management or Business. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and solid budgetary knowledge and skills.
