Job Title: Infrastructure Analyst

Our client, a national leader in their industry, seeks a skilled Infrastructure Analyst to join their Platform & Cloud Services team. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity based in the west-end Greater Toronto Area (GTA), requiring on-site work 3 days/week in Oakville, ON.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support various technologies, business departments, and systems, independently resolving problems and proactively communicating solutions.
  • Remain current on IT issues by acquiring and maintaining knowledge of relevant products and initiatives.
  • Research tools and processes to evaluate their usefulness to departmental and corporate needs.
  • Support department policies by providing technically accurate solutions to end users within provided guidelines.
  • Enhance the quality and efficiency of the Technical Services team by participating in team projects and initiatives.
  • Ensure delivery, availability, and provide subject matter technical expertise on infrastructure in support of project initiatives.
  • Investigate and participate as a 3rd level SME in resolution of system problems to ensure maximum availability of the infrastructure and systems.
  • Review, maintain, and provide ongoing improvements to the general environment for all hardware and software.
  • Automate daily tasks using Terraform & PowerShell to increase productivity and efficiency within the environment.
  • Manage Azure resources, subscriptions, and policies, ensuring compliance and optimal resource utilization.
  • Create and maintain Azure TFS pipelines to enhance continuous integration and deployment processes.
  • Collaborate with DevOps team on custom .NET application deployments.
  • Utilize Azure DevOps for project management, automating workflows and enhancing collaboration across development and operations teams.

Required Experience & Technical Skills:

  • College diploma in Computer Systems Technology – Networking or Computer & Network, or similar; University Degree in Computer Science; or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of practical and technical knowledge required.
  • Skills specific to IT platforms and cloud services including Microsoft, Citrix, CyberArk, Varonis, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge of various technologies and protocols (Windows, Azure/M365, Exchange, Active Directory, MS Intune, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, SMB).
  • Strong experience with a variety of Azure cloud services including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), App Service, Functions, Container Instances, Apps & Registry.
  • Working knowledge of IaC frameworks, tools, and languages such as Microsoft DevOps, HashiCorp Terraform, PowerShell, etc.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate in English both verbally and in writing in a team environment.
  • Able to work a flexible schedule of days, evenings, and weekends as required.
  • Excellent time management and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-task environment as a collaborative team member with ability to contribute to multiple projects and/or tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Independent, well-organized, self-starter and able to adapt to change.
  • Good interpersonal skills with a natural ability to work with and support colleagues, ability to adapt to and work effectively with co-workers who have different styles and levels of technical knowledge.
