The Role This position supports key initiatives that drive growth and financial performance. Your focus will span Corporate Development (M&A, joint ventures, and strategic partnerships) and Commercial Finance (capital markets support at corporate and product levels). What You’ll Be Doing Capital Markets & Funding Platform Lead complex financing modelling, analysis, and execution to support the funding platform. Assist in creating and fostering bank and institutional partner relationships to secure funding for corporate and product lines. Collaborate with Treasury on liquidity planning, strategic initiatives, risk management, and deal closings. Corporate Development & Strategic Initiatives Drive financial analysis and presentation for co‑brand partnership RFPs, building clear financial rationales and projections. Support end‑to‑end M&A processes, including target identification, due diligence coordination, valuation, transaction structuring, and integration planning. Qualifications 3–5 years of progressive corporate finance and/or deal‑making experience. Expertise in building complex financial models from scratch. Strong understanding of financial statements and accounting principles. Experience within FinTech, financial services, or technology sectors preferred. Background in investment banking, private equity, consulting, or transaction advisory is a plus. CFA or relevant professional designation progress is an asset. Excellent communication skills to explain complex financial concepts to non‑technical audiences. Familiarity with the Canadian mortgage space (e.g., securitization, NHA MBS) is a plus.
