Director, Asset Management and Sustainability

Duties & Responsibilities
- Supports the development and implementation of an asset management strategy across SHARE and SHARE's sister society, 43 Housing Society to maximize financial opportunities and growth for the organizations, in support of their respective missions.
- Develops and implements a fundraising strategy for the TriCities Foundry Youth Hub, that includes both capital and operational support.
- Builds and maintains systems to enhance SHARE's fundraising capacity, including possibly establishing a Charitable Foundation, a legacy giving program, a corporate giving program, a securities strategy, etc.
- Provides leadership, direction and oversight to the Community Engagement Team, including direct supervision of the Manager of Community Engagement.
- Provides leadership, direction and oversight of SHARE's annual fundraising activities, donor stewardship and community engagement plans.
- Cooperates with the management team in: operationalizing strategic priorities; compliance with all standards and policies; budget oversight and management; and collaboration with community stakeholders.
- Collaborates with SHARE's management team to ensure that the organizational vision is reflected in operations and systems that subscribe to the strategic direction of the organization as set by the Board of Directors and the CEO.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging trends and developments in fundraising, charitable giving, asset management, financial investment, and related fields.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's or a Master's in a related discipline (equivalent work experience and training may be considered in the absence of post-secondary education).
- Have at least 10 years of relevant work experience in the areas of financial management, charitable operations, and/or fundraising.
- Demonstrate knowledge of day-to-day fundraising strategies, approaches, donations management, tracking and evaluation.
- Expertise in financial management, asset management, investment strategies and wealth management. Demonstrated successes in community building and partnerships.
- Extensive knowledge of charitable sector fundraising and financial management strategies, as well as successes in building giving and donations in charities.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a variety of stakeholders and to build and manage relationships.
