Fed IT is a recruitment firm specializing in IT recruitment. We intervene on two types of recruitment: temporary and permanent. All our consultants are IT experts who speak your language and work in your world. We cover the IT, development, decision support, and infrastructure professions.

I am looking for a Systems and Network Administrator for one of my clients located in downtown Montreal. This is a permanent position.

Your Responsibilities:
  1. Ensure the performance, availability, and security of environments in accordance with current policies while maintaining monitoring tools.
  2. Contribute to technological projects as a member or project lead, as needed.
  3. Administer Intune or equivalent, covering Windows image, collections, deployments, policy definition, technician training, etc.
  4. Actively participate in the acquisition, implementation, and inventory management of network equipment and licenses.
  5. Ensure the execution of backup copies and conduct failover tests on various servers.
  6. Provide third-level support to users in a Microsoft environment.
  7. Diagnose and resolve recurring issues requiring special attention.
  8. Manage network access and security, including user accounts, permissions, and authentication.
  9. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards such as ISO 27001, NIST.
  10. Contribute to the implementation of standards and processes applicable to the role (security, access, confidentiality, backups, changes, etc.).
  11. Contribute to the development of dashboards tracking network performance and quality, covering outages, flows, resource availability, security, etc.
Minimum Requirements:
  1. Holder of a DEC in Information Technology or equivalent.
  2. Accumulating at least 10 years of experience in the field of information technology, with a primary expertise in server and network equipment administration.
  3. Proficient in environments such as Windows Servers, Office 365, SCCM, Powershell, InTune, and VMWare.
  4. In-depth knowledge of cloud environments (Azure and AWS) and Linux servers.
  5. Significant experience in multi-site environments.
  6. Strong proficiency in local (LAN) and wide-area (WAN) networks, as well as telecommunications equipment.
  7. Experience in using network management tools and network monitoring services.
  8. In-depth knowledge and experience in: Firewalls, SDWAN, Layer 3 protocols, Key protocols (Ethernet, MCLAG, LACP, PPP, PAgP...), EIGRP, IS-IS, BGP, MP-BGP, VLAN/trunking, QoS, and MPLS (with experience in problem resolution), Wireless networks, Wifi network equipment.
  9. Possession of relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, NSE, CCIE, etc. is an asset.
  10. Bilingual in written and spoken communication.
