  • Conduct structural inspections for industrial projects
  • Design equipment foundations and support structures
  • Make technical decisions with limited information
  • Estimate and prepare engineering proposals
  • Ensure projects are on task, on budget and on schedule
  • Approve and stamp own project design and reports, and those of engineers in training for whom you are providing peer review, as appropriate
  • Client-facing, able to represent the company and the community in presentations and meetings
Profile
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Structural Engineering
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in consulting engineering
  • Registered P.Eng. in the province of Alberta, British Columbia or Saskatchewan
  • Advanced technical skills in steel and concrete design, with field experience
  • Design experience in heavy industries such as Oil & Gas, Mining, Hydro & Dam and Renewable Energy; substation design experience is an asset
  • Working knowledge of Canadian codes and standards, as well as good design practices
  • Proficiency in the use of SAP 2000 or similar

The expected salary for this position is from $105,440 to $131,800 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
