In this position, you will have the opportunity to:Maintenance Management
- Diagnose and solve technical problems related to infrastructure, mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems.
- Ensure compliance of equipment and buildings with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Select, negotiate and manage contracts with external service providers for maintenance services, repairs and improvements.
- Coordinate the work of subcontractors, ensuring that the work is carried out on time and on budget.
- Ensure compliance with OHS standards and the prevention of risks associated with maintenance operations.
- Raise awareness and train teams in OHS best practices.
- Actively participate in OHS committee activities and risk reduction.
- Develop and manage the maintenance department budget, including repair, maintenance and investment costs.
- Use computerized maintenance management systems to track work and plan activities.
- Supervise and mentor staff under his/her responsibility.
- Collaborate with internal and unionized teams to ensure a harmonious and efficient work climate.
With the following skills and qualities, you'll be successful in this role:
- DEC in industrial maintenance or mechanical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in maintenance management in the distribution sector or in a similar environment.
- Experience in subcontractor management and contract negotiation.
- Excellent negotiation, organization and planning skills.
- Good command of computer systems and maintenance management tools.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage several projects simultaneously.
- C license is an asset.
- Experience in a unionized environment (asset).
