You will foster relationships with donors and qualify them for major gifts solicitations and planned gifts. Overall, growing Indwell’s giving through the annual campaign in support of programs and operations. You will contribute to the financial sustainability of a growing, dynamic charity. Reporting to the Director of Community and Donor Engagement, this position will provide excellent gift stewardship as part of an ambitious fund development and communications team. Based in Hamilton with occasional travel to the other communities in which Indwell has programs (London, St. Thomas, Kitchener, Cambridge, Simcoe, Woodstock, Mississauga). Must have own vehicle and a valid “G” class driver’s license. Mileage paid when travelling outside of Hamilton. WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING: Develop and present designated giving opportunities for program and operations, including Gifts of Hope, to current and prospective donors Coordinate with other gift officers in identifying community, private and corporate foundations to approach; present foundation proposals Support the development of Agents of Hope; investigate other options for giving groups Host and participate in donor cultivation events and activities Coordinate with the CDE Communications Team on direct mail appeals, Gifts of Hope, and other gift solicitations Gift Stewardship Express gratitude to donors and report to them on the impact of their giving Oversee implementation of a new donor welcome program Conduct discovery conversations with selected donors and contacts to determine their points of connection, interests, and communication preferences Encourage recurring giving Coordinate with CDE Communications Team on gift stewardship Gift Administration As part of the Community and Donor Engagement Team, contribute to meeting the financial goals and work plan objectives that support Indwell’s Strategic Plan Record donor information and interactions in the Constituency Relationship Management (CRM) system; coordinate with CDE administrator to optimize CRM software WHAT YOU WILL BE BRING: A commitment to upholding and modeling Indwell’s mission, values and other operating standards and policies, reflecting them in all interactions and decisions Undergraduate degree, college diploma or comparable combination of education and work experience Demonstrated successful experience in customer/donor relations and gift solicitation Well-developed interpersonal skills, ability to communicate easily and positively verbally and in writing, as well as to listen with sensitivity Flexibility and adaptability as a team player; proven skills in collaborating with others Experience using Microsoft Office and a Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system Ability to maintain tenant and donor confidentiality Dedication to a work environment that values and promotes diversity and equality, as well as respectful relationships with others We want you to thrive: Vacation: 3 weeks paid with 8 HEAL days (sick and personal appointments) per year Benefits Extensive: Extended health (100% medication coverage- some exceptions may apply), dental and vision care.
