Reporting to the Plant Engineering Manager, the Engineering Projects Coordinator’s prime responsibility is to support establishing the client's needs and coordinating projects related to our facility. He/she ensures project compliance, quality, and deadlines, supports the conceptualization, design, planning, and implementation of safety, quality, and continuous improvement projects that increase safety, product quality, and efficiency.
Responsibilities- Coordinate projects related to production and line developments, e.g. new line, modification or redesign;
- Coordinate installation projects so that the project is delivered in quality and on time;
- Ensure that the work under their responsibility is carried out in a safe manner, in accordance with site policies and procedures;
- Ensure to respect budgets and bidding processes;
- Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess feasibility and equipment. Accept ownership of all automation initiatives;
- Carry out follow-ups of work for clients and various departments;
- Manage contractor engineering activities and oversee management of delivery schedules, warranties, liquidated damages, and performance guarantees;
- Coordinate start-up and commissioning of new equipment with operations;
- Test newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract specifications;
- Maintain plant in a safe and productive state to ensure compliance with health and safety standards in order to achieve maximum productivity;
- Provide engineering support to maintain, after, or curtail operations during emergencies;
- Manage and do the necessary follow-ups for requests from our internal teams;
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Plant Engineering Manager.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial or a related Engineering field or equivalent work experience;
- Have 2-5 years of direct project engineering and/or plant maintenance experience (required);
- Experience in the food, beverage or pharmaceutical manufacturing industry is preferred;
- Good problem-solving and decision-making skills;
- Strong oral and written communication skills, excellent judgment, strong sense of ethics & integrity, result-oriented;
- Experience using Microsoft Office and other computer-based applications (iPad, One Note, etc.);
- Efficient at handling multiple priorities and a proficient project manager;
- Ability to adapt to operational changes and need requirements;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, and consistently changing environment.
