Role Overview

We are excited to introduce a new leadership opportunity as Director, Credit Card Products & Portfolio Growth, reporting to the Senior Vice President, Marketing & Product. This pivotal position will oversee the development, launch, and optimization of our credit card offerings, driving profitability, growth, and customer satisfaction through strategies focused on acquisition, engagement, and performance.

The role will manage product development, market expansion, and end-to-end P&L oversight, collaborating closely with stakeholders across risk, legal, finance, technology, and marketing. Additionally, it will involve nurturing strategic partnerships and leading innovation to ensure sustainable growth in a competitive market.

What will you be doing?

  1. Product Strategy, Development & Execution
    • Lead the creation, launch, and evolution of new credit card products from ideation to market entry;
    • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for the card portfolio, ensuring alignment with business objectives and market demands.
    • Optimize pricing, rewards structures, credit policies, and feature enhancements to maximize profitability and customer engagement.
    • Develop and execute omnichannel acquisition strategies, leveraging proprietary channels, partnerships, digital channels, and direct marketing efforts.
    • Ensure all credit card initiatives comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  2. Portfolio Management & Growth Optimization
    • Drive the achievement of growth targets and profitability.
    • Monitor portfolio performance, identifying opportunities for cost optimization, risk mitigation, and revenue expansion.
    • Leverage data analytics and market research to refine product offerings, optimize spending behaviour, and reduce attrition.
    • Oversee the management of existing credit card partnerships while identifying and seizing new opportunities.
    • Keep a pulse on industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitive landscapes to maintain a market-leading position.
  3. Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key partners (internal and external) to ensure smooth operations, sustainable growth, and strategic alignment.
    • Act as a senior decision-maker with major corporate impact, influencing executives on credit card strategies.
    • Represent the organization in key account negotiations and high-profile partner engagements.
  4. Acquisition & Channel Strategy
    • Own and drive credit card receivables growth objectives.
    • Develop and implement strategies in an omnichannel acquisition environment, ensuring balance and efficiency in digital, retail, and partner-driven channels.
    • Stay at the forefront of innovative acquisition solutions, influencing new business models to accelerate customer acquisition while ensuring compliance and risk mitigation.

What experience do you have?

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience as a leader in the credit card industry with a strong track record of leading new product development, portfolio management, acquisition and growth strategies.
  • Proven ability to drive change, influence key stakeholders, and lead cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of financial modelling, risk management, and credit card economics.
