CORA was launched in 2022 to accelerate growth through acquisition and to strengthen employee culture.Position SummaryWe are seeking a highly driven and strategic M&A Business Development Associate to join our deal origination team. In this role, you will source, qualify, nurture, and manage a pipeline of acquisition opportunities in the software sector, shape outreach strategies, identify high-potential software sectors, and build relationships with senior stakeholders to uncover opportunities that fit our investment criteria. You should be a team player with a tenacious work ethic and the ability to outperform expectations.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Sourcing & Pipeline Management: source, qualify, build and manage a large pipeline of acquisition targets across multiple software verticals; maintain accurate records in Salesforce.Relationship Development & Outreach: conduct outreach to founders, CEOs, executives, and other decision-makers via calls, LinkedIn, and email; build relationships with C-suite executives, founders, investment banks, PE/VC funds, and other stakeholders.Collaboration & Deal Evaluation: perform initial qualification; partner with M&A leadership to assess deal fit and present targets to the internal M&A Committee; arrange NDAs and gather key information.Market Intelligence & Representation: conduct industry research and represent the company at events and meetings with business owners.Mentorship & Process Improvement: support junior team members and continuously refine processes for efficiency.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor’s degree in business/finance or related fieldExperience: 2+ years in deal origination, business development, enterprise SaaS sales, or investment-related roles; prior M&A, PE, VC, or Corporate Development experience is an assetTechnical Skills: CRM experience (Salesforce a plus); proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)What We OfferHands-on M&A origination experience in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environmentDirect access to senior decision-makers and deal evaluation discussionsExposure to M&A activities at one of the largest software acquirers, with impact on growthRole combining strategic thinking, hands-on execution, and leadership responsibilitiesCompetitive compensation and growth opportunitiesComprehensive Medical, Dental and Vision benefits3 weeks of vacation plus personal days #J-18808-Ljbffr
