Join us as a Coordinator, Contract Services (Procurement Officer) at Defence Construction Canada. This position is located in Borden, Ontario and involves supporting a wide variety of environmental, maintenance, and construction projects for the Canadian Armed Forces and the Canadian Forces Housing Agency. Internal (DCC Employees) and External (General Public) Compensation & Status Salary Range: $79,067 – $102,788 Employment Status: Continuing Term Length: Permanent Security Level: Secret Language Requirement: English essential Closing Date: 03/12/2025 Country: Canada Key Responsibilities Provide advice to Client-Partners on all aspects of procurement. Review Client-Partner information (specifications, financial details, security) and assemble submission documents. Prepare procurement documents and Notices of Proposed Procurement. Review tender submissions for compliance and facilitate proposal evaluations. Make recommendations to the contract authority for procurement initiation, process decisions, and contract awards. Negotiate contracts with proponents and respond to bidder inquiries. Communicate with Client-Partners and industry, including debriefing unsuccessful bidders. Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC and with stakeholders. Ensure quality standards are met in alignment with corporate and Client-Partner expectations. Review and approve initiation and award of contracts within delegated signing authority. Participate in procurement planning with Client-Partners and manage risk. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills, Knowledge & Experience Best practices, methods, trends and legislation in procurement. Experience with DCC and Client-Partner procurement processes and procedures. Knowledge of government policies and trade agreements. Project and risk management principles. Minimum: college diploma in architecture, engineering technology or related field with four years’ relevant experience, or equivalent. Ability to use applicable computer software and operating systems. Application of project and risk management techniques. Development & Leadership Provide functional direction and advice to employees and Client-Partners. Working Conditions Typical office environment with occasional travel. Some work may be located on construction sites; may occasionally require basic safety equipment.
