Primary Purpose of Position:
We are seeking a Project Coordinator to join our team and support a major decommissioning project based in Yellowknife, NT. This is a two year contract position and a great opportunity to be part of a significant, long-term initiative that offers both career growth and job stability in a unique northern environment.
This position will be based on-site on a two-weeks-on, two-weeks-off rotation schedule, with accommodations, travel, and meals fully covered. The Project Coordinator will play a vital role in supporting the project team by managing documentation, coordinating logistics, and ensuring smooth administrative operations for all project phases. Working closely with the Project Manager and site team, this role will help maintain project organization, accuracy, and compliance while contributing to the overall success of the project.

Job Duties
Assist with project setup, progression, and close-out requirements
Support the Project Manager with the preparation of budgets, schedules, and project documentation
Coordinate site logistics, including travel arrangements and accommodations for rotating personnel
Manage daily reporting and documentation from site, including progress tracking, equipment logs, and production reports
Assist with the review and verification of labour, material, and equipment costs submitted from site
Prepare, maintain, and distribute key project documents, ensuring accuracy and version control (drawings, contracts, specs, permits, etc.)
Assist with permit applications, safety documentation, and other compliance-related submissions
Support with change order management, subcontract administration, and purchase order issuance
Assist in monthly progress billings and ensure invoices are submitted accurately and on time
Ensure project documentation is complete, organized, and filed in accordance with company standards
Assist with tracking project budgets and expenditures
Verify production data and assist with progress tracking against project plans
Provide on-site administrative support to the project team during rotation periods
Ensure all project controls, documentation, and reporting align with company standards and client expectations
Assist with coordination of on-site meetings, document distribution, and communication between field and office teams
Position Requirements
Requirements
• College, University, or equivalent degree in Construction Management, Project Management, or related discipline
• 3+ years of experience supporting construction or demolition projects (site-based experience preferred)
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with high attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with site and office teams
• Willingness to work a rotational schedule (two weeks on, two weeks off) in Yellowknife
Work Conditions
• Rotation schedule: 2 weeks on-site, 2 weeks off
• Accommodations, travel, and meals provided
• On-site work environment with exposure to field operations and project activities
• Manual dexterity required; frequent sitting, standing, and walking
• Overtime may be required based on project demands
• Collaboration with multiple departments and teams
