Senior Manager, Governance & Control – TD Securities Location: Toronto, Ontario, Canada Hours: 37.5 (Full-time) Line of Business: Governance & Control Pay: $108,800 - $163,200 CAD Department Overview TD OneFinance, Governance, Risk and Control (GRC or 1B) enables and supports Treasury partners to identify, understand, manage and mitigate risks in their operations, ensuring adherence to internal and regulatory requirements. We support Treasury's adherence to key risk programs through training, monitoring, testing and provision of risk management advice, insights and reporting. We oversee policies governing financial reporting activities to mitigate financial reporting risk and foster a culture of diversity, inclusion, and community giving. In This Role, You Will Be responsible for 1B oversight, testing and reporting of Treasury's key risk programs, including operational risk oversight and insights. Lead development of Treasury tailored communication and training for enterprise risk programs such as EUC Governance, Model Risk Management, Risk and Control Self Assessment. Perform quality control/audit of controls designed to support business risk, control and issuer owners. Identify interdependencies across risk programs, remediation plans and controls. Lead review of key risk indicators and reporting for Treasury. Lead management and updating of Treasury GRC Mandate, Standards, Policies and Procedures. Provide expert advice to Treasury and stakeholders on effective control considerations. Ensure stakeholders are aware of policy and guideline requirements and oversight of compliance. Partner with other teams and lines of defense to oversee design, effectiveness and testing of compliance controls. Promote a culture of risk awareness, accountability, ethics, integrity and conduct. Enable data‑driven, risk‑based decision making and approaches. Develop, coach and lead a team of risk and control professionals. Explore and deliver innovative solutions and process improvements. Job Requirements Professional accounting and/or relevant designation (CPA, CA, CISA, CFA). University degree in business, accounting or other relevant fields. 10+ years experience in a treasury/audit role with internal controls / financial controls experience. Treasury industry experience considered a strong asset. Public accounting firm experience considered a strong asset. Ability to influence change through risk and controls expertise and build collaborative relationships. Proven ability to lead, change and manage effectively in a matrixed environment. Ability to assess or test the design and operating effectiveness of controls, including financial reporting controls. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of regulatory environment in which Treasury operates (prudential requirements governing liquidity, funding, non‑trading market risk, and capital). Exceptional leadership, planning and project management skills. Highly motivated to improve processes and leverage data and technology. Ability to work with subject matter experts and deliver high service levels across boundaries. Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, agile environment managing multiple priorities.
