The Role:
Scantech Offshore are looking for Offshore Engineers to join their team on a permanent basis. This role involves a lot of travelling/working away which is on an ad-hoc basis, so flexibility is essential.
The purpose of the Offshore Technician is to operate, service & maintain the hire fleet in accordance with Scantech Offshore Maintenance procedure.

  1. Preparation of equipment to meet Hire Office requirements.
  2. Ensuring service procedures and standards are followed in accordance with company guidelines.
  3. Packaging, maintenance and operation of company equipment both onshore & offshore as required, following company service guidelines & procedures.
  4. Completion of service reports, minimum spares stock and handover sheets as required following company procedures.
  5. Pressure test hoses when required.

Any other delegated responsibilities as instructed by Line Manager within the timeframe specified, in a safe and efficient manner to meet business requirements, provided the instruction is reasonable, and you are deemed competent to fulfil these.

Essential:

  1. NVQ Level 3 Mechanical Qualification or equivalent.
  2. Experience of working in an offshore or overseas environment.
  3. Computer literate, i.e. Word & Excel.
  4. Offshore Survival training.
  5. Mechanical Experience - automotive, diesel engines, heavy plant, etc.

Preferred:

  1. Quality assurance awareness training.
  2. Diesel engine training /shutdown systems.
  3. Pressure testing awareness training.
  4. Manual handling awareness training.
  5. COSHH awareness training.
  6. Work at heights awareness training.
  7. Risk assessment training.
  8. Offshore medical certificate.
  9. Slips, trips & fall awareness training.
  10. Steam Boiler operating training.
  11. Air compressor operator training.
  12. H2S awareness training./>The offshore work is not a set pattern, so flexibility is required to be able to go offshore on an ad hoc basis as the business requires.
