Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Senior Geotechnical Engineer to lead our open pit and waste dump activities.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in geotechnical engineering and project management.

This role offers the opportunity to work on complex projects and contribute to the success of our operations.

About the Role

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring compliance with Health, Safety and Reclamation Code for mines in British Columbia;
  • Leading and directing large, complex, and/or multidisciplinary Projects, Open Pit and Waste Dump Site Investigations and Designs;
  • Reviewing technical proposals, design work, and report packages;
  • Reviewing Mining Standards and practices to ensure compliance with ground control related regulations, policies, and standards;
  • Managing contractors and external resources related to Pit and Waste Dump activities;
  • Quality control and risk management;
  • At least 5 years of experience related to Open Pit and Waste Dump Management within the mining industry;
  • Project management experience;
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite of software;
  • Experience with Minesight, AutoCAD and survey equipment would be considered an asset;
  • Possess and maintain a valid Canadian Driver's License;
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary range of $121,000 to $151,000 per annum.

McLeese Lake is a small community located in south-central British Columbia.
