About the Company
 Forge Recruitment is currently searching for a Corporate Commercial Lending LAA/Paralegal to join the busy team of a renowned Surrey-based firm.

About the Role
  • Handling complex business acquisitions and divestitures (share, asset and hybrid transactions)
  • Preparing transaction closing documents
  • Managing multiple files and closings for various transactions, preparing reporting books, invoices, etc.
  • Assisting with commercial lending/borrowing files ranging from simple to complex and some second mortgage transactions
  • Drafting and review of various contracts, shareholders' agreement, commercial leases, and other business contracts

What You Bring
  • 6+ years of direct working experience with a focus on corporate-commercial and commercial lending
  • Legal Administrative Assistant Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution
  • Familiarity with LTO and PPR documents, registrations, and procedure
  • Strong organizational skills and a keen eye for detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain professionalism
  • A desire to be involved in the entire transaction from start to finish, to work independently while maintaining extensive contact with the partner and client, and to handle high volume in a fast-paced environment
