Credit Analyst II (Equipment Finance - Heavy Equipment & Agriculture) Location: Onsite, Calgary, Alberta Industry: Equipment Finance (Heavy Equipment & Agriculture) Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Professional Growth: Opportunities for career advancement within the organization Job Overview The Credit Analyst II role supports Essex Lease Financial Corporation’s objectives by reviewing, recommending, and approving industrial equipment finance applications. The position works closely with Essex’s sales team, documentation specialists, and customers to provide tailored solutions that match customer needs. This position requires demonstrated experience analyzing credit applications and financial statements within the equipment finance or leasing industry. Applicants without this background will not be considered. The successful candidate will be a full‑time professional based in our Calgary office and will report to the Credit Manager (AVP, Credit) as part of a collaborative team. Key Responsibilities Review and recommend conventional, near‑conventional, and asset‑based credit applications by performing financial statement analysis, equipment evaluation, industry evaluation, and overall assessment of credit risk. Collaborate with customers and members of Essex’s sales team to develop tailored financial solutions based on each customer’s unique circumstances. Ensure timely and accurate processing of credit applications. Aid in implementing and managing credit department projects. Build and maintain relationships with industry associates. Aid Essex management and stakeholders in meeting corporate goals. Candidate Profile Desire to find solutions that balance customer needs and financial risks. Strategic thinking, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills. Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Professional, ambitious, and self‑motivated with a high sense of integrity. Strong time management and prioritization skills, working independently or collaboratively. Attention to detail and data accuracy, with strong organizational skills. Proficiency in quickly learning new software and processes. Capability to build authentic customer relationships and interact effectively with employees at all levels. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel. Required Education and Experience Post‑secondary degree in a relevant field (Business Marketing, Commerce preferred but not required).
