Position Details Position: Security Team Lead Location: Cambridge Memorial Hospital, 700 Coronation Blvd, Cambridge, ON N1R 3G2 Hours: Rotating Continental (0600‑1800 / 1800‑0600) Pay Rate: $26.58/hr Posting Date: Nov 10, 2025 Closing Date: Nov 14, 2025 Job Description In addition to Security Guard duties, Team Leads are responsible for: Ensuring all guards are signed in, briefed, and stationed appropriately. Liaising with Charge Nurses, Site/Mobile Supervisors, and Field Managers. Conducting investigations, incident reporting, and documentation. Identifying and reporting site deficiencies. Ensuring Health & Safety compliance. Providing leadership, coaching, and training to staff. Motivating team members and submitting commendations. Enforcing standing orders and daily operational procedures. Ensuring adherence to Paladin and site‑specific policies. Verifying completion of mandatory training. Coaching staff and submitting documentation to head office. Auditing security equipment and investigating complaints. Performing proactive/reactive patrols. Communicating concerns to the Client Service Manager. Supporting hospital parking operations: Assisting with parking machines, online portals, and lost/replacement cards. Issuing parking passes and monitoring contractor lot access. Refilling ticket/receipt paper and sharing vendor contact info. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum 2 years of hospital security experience. 1 year of supervisory/team lead experience is an asset. Previous experience at this site is mandatory. Preferred post‑secondary education in a Law Enforcement/Security program. Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act and Mental Health Act. Superior written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated punctuality, reliability, tact, and diplomacy. Valid Ontario Security Guard License. Valid First Aid and CPR Level C Certification. Proof of double Covid vaccination. Immunization record (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and 2‑Step TB skin tests). Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB). Applicants without these certifications may enroll in Paladin’s pre‑employment training program. Legally authorized to work in Canada.
