Cambridge ON NT H, Canada Alliance Security Full time $60,000 - $92,000 per year

The position is for an Electronic Security Technician, to work with our team, installing and servicing (access control, video surveillance and security systems). The ideal candidate will also have a good understanding of networks and integration. The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of electronics, IP video, and computer hardware and software. Excellent people skills and a high level of commitment to quality and customer satisfaction are required and the ability to install and instruct customers on the proper use of the systems.

Compensation aligned with experience.

Qualifications for this position are:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the electronic security industry, access control and video surveillance systems or equivalent systems.
  • Knowledge of major security product lines and wireless networks.
  • Must have in-depth knowledge & experience in working with IP Cameras and recording equipment.
  • Must be able to interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient in computer skills; knowledge of networks, switches and routers.
  • Candidate must have the ability to work on customer networks and train customers on system operations.
  • Be fluent in English and have good people skills.
  • Be able to perform work on ladders and lifts at varying heights.
  • Must be able to lift and install hardware devices such as cameras, recorders, etc.
  • Complete and submit accurate time sheets.
  • Responsibilities include working alone and / or as part of the technical team.
  • Have a valid driver's license.
  • Professional positive attitude.
