Due to the continued success of our private client department, we have an opportunity for a Private Client Secretary in our Penzance office. This is an exciting, fast paced role working with a variety of clients and external agencies. You will be working for the fee earners within the Private Client Department, audio typing, opening files for the fee earners, providing updates to clients, photocopying, scanning, file closing and archiving as and when required, carrying out general administrative tasks and using the case management system to produce and store documents. Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Secretary is desirable Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Familiar with dictation Resilient and calm under pressure Excellent keyboard and word processing skills. Good with numbers Excellent attention to detail and able to take instruction Positive, friendly and understand the importance of confidentiality, be organised and a team player Responsibilities Using the electronic case management system effectively and maintaining up to date records Diary management to include arranging appointments, meetings and diary notes Opening files Scanning letters and documents to case management Carrying out AML searches Typing of digital dictation to include attendance notes, letters and documentation Printing of letters and other documentation Arranging storage and retrieval of legal documents in our vaults Filing and physical file management Speaking with clients and taking or relaying messages Liaising with third parties such as Probate Registry, HMRC and Land Registry Closing files and transmission to archive Any other duties reasonably required by the firm Benefits Competitive salary Attractive holiday package Enrolment into Company Pension Scheme Gifted ‘Birthday’ leave Annual events A career that really makes a difference Application & Contact Apply by email sending a CV and covering letter to enquiries@cvc-solicitors.co.uk Selection of candidates & interviews will be conducted continuously so please submit your application as soon as possible.
