Position Summary:
As the Vice President of Sales, Personal Insurance, you play an integral role in the innovation and growth of our business. You have proven leadership qualities and a passion to lead initiatives that drive organic growth in all personal insurance products including auto insurance.
This position works collaboratively with the line of business leaders for Personal Insurance, Auto, and the Community Branch Network (CBN), collectively referred to as "PL" in order to contribute to strategic direction of all PL revenue and organic growth initiatives. This role will also ensure the best sales training is available to our employees. Strong business acumen and communication skills are fundamental as this position requires collaboration with all levels of employees and management in our organization.
You will ensure all programs and initiatives are in sync and support our vision to be the most trusted broker that empowers and engages our people to make a difference in the lives of our clients. Responsibilities:
- Contributes new, fresh thinking and ideas to the PL business model
- In collaboration with line of business leaders, develops annual sales plan & budget with a focus on:
- New business opportunities specific to each business area
- Business retention
- Cross-sell with the vision of meeting all PL needs of a client
- Coaches/Trains/Supports on:
- Sales techniques/Activities
- Closing techniques
- Client service
- Behaviours
- Understanding
- Adapting
- Create sales contests and competitions
- Performs analysis of current PL sales models and identifies areas for enhancement and evolution to ensure maximum revenue growth
- Understands and champions for any resources required to meet revenue growth goals
- Works with the line of business leaders through annual budgets
- Seeks out training and development opportunities through Sales Force Development (SFD) and works with SFD to adapt training for PL
- Tracks team sales metrics and reports to leadership regularly
- Accountable to submit PL President's Report monthly
- Attends prospect & client meetings
- Works collaboratively with management team
- Incorporates PL into Critical Path process where applicable
- Applies proven sales ability and client-focused sales acumen to help team(s) achieve targets

- 5 years industry sales experience
- 5 years' experience in management/sales leadership (insurance or other industry)
- Level 3 General Insurance License (or eligible to qualify)
- CAIB, CIP, FCIP designations preferred
The expected salary range for this position is $130,000 - $170,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate's skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position's business line, scope and level.
