Senior Communications and Marketing Specialist (CBC Atlantic) (English Services) (Telework/Hybrid) Radio‑Canada invites you to apply for a hybrid Senior Communications and Marketing Specialist role in Halifax. Your work will support CBC’s digital, radio, and television programming across Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, Prince Edward Island, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Quebec. The position requires an in‑office presence at CBC Halifax and travel to community events across the Atlantic region. Your role The successful candidate will design, implement, and evaluate integrated marketing and communications strategies that build CBC’s brand and grow engagement with younger, diverse audiences. You will collaborate cross‑functionally with editorial, community, and marketing teams to deliver compelling storytelling across all platforms. Advance CBC’s strategic objectives by creating strategies that reach younger, diverse audiences in‑person and online. Lead community engagement initiatives across the Atlantic region and Quebec, partnering with community partners and editorial colleagues. Develop, implement, and monitor integrated marketing plans for CBC’s brand and programming across social, digital, radio, and TV. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to generate strategic campaigns that attract target audiences and foster meaningful engagement. Design innovative social media strategies to deepen community connection and promote awareness and attendance for campaigns and events. Create tailored online experiences that encourage brand engagement and community connection. Produce reports that demonstrate campaign success and identify key learnings. Collaborate with national marketing and communications teams to elevate CBC’s national priorities and campaigns while supporting editorial objectives. Build and manage relationships with internal and external partners, including community members, partner organizations, and vendors. Candidate qualifications Post‑secondary certificate, diploma, or university degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Five or more years of experience in communications, public relations, and/or marketing. Strong connection to Atlantic communities and experience developing strategies for younger, diverse audiences. Superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills and the ability to adapt messaging for different audiences and platforms. Excellent organization, time management, and the ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines with attention to detail. Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate events, including budget management. Public speaking and networking skills. Superior social media marketing skills, including content creation, strategy, and channel management. Experience using research data to drive marketing decisions. Proficiency with Google Suite tools (Docs, Drive, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Meet). Experience with Dash Social or other social media tools and video editing tools for social media content creation and captioning. Knowledge of additional languages, particularly French, is an asset. Flexible work hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Valid driver’s licence and a driving record that meets CBC/Radio‑Canada’s insurance minimum requirements.
