This is a 1-year contract-based position that combines leadership, operational oversight, and continuous improvement to ensure high standards in service delivery, safety, and workplace functionality.The ideal candidate brings strong people management skills, a proactive mindset, and a proven track record of driving efficiency and quality in facilities management within a large organization.Why choose WSP?We value and are committed to upholding a culture of inclusion and belongingOur Flexible Work Policy – we recognize the importance of balance in our lives and encourage you to prioritize the balance in yours.A Canadian success story - we're proud to wear the red and white of this beautiful country and show the world what Canada has to offer.Enhance the world around you - from the environment to the highways, to the buildings and the terrain, WSP is the fabric of Canada.Outstanding career opportunities - we're growing and pushing ourselves every day to be greater than yesterday - we're open to your ideas and trying new things.A phenomenal collaborative culture and a workforce filled with genuinely good people who are doing humbly important work.What you can expect to do here:Oversee, coach, and provide support to Facilities CoordinatorsConduct performance reviews, on the job coaching, onboarding/ offboarding of team members.Applies a continuous improvement focus with a national mindset.Enables a quality-of-service delivery focus.Creates team capacity to develop and recommend processes that improve team efficiency.Provides input to departmental leaders for policies/procedures, policy proposals, and strategies to improve operational efficiencies.Makes independent decisions related to resources, approach, and tactical operations.Assists the successful delivery of FM Service Request platform.Work closely and as back up to Senior Facilities Administrator to support facilities managementWork closely and as back up to Senior Regional Facilities Manager and Regional Project Implementation Manager managing the CRE + FM portfolio for the region.Help design and implement office policies and procedures for proactive and scheduled maintenance of all areas and equipment.Attend joint health and safety committee meetings to assist in identifying, initiating, and coordinating corrective actions required to maintain office HSE.Oversee team to carry out inspection on building conditions, equipment and make recommendations for repairs and improvements daily:Manage and distribute ad-hoc requests for assistance from the business and other team members.Liaison with the building owner to communicate day to day issues that arise, e.g., elevators down, fire drill etc.Oversee, manage, and delegate security access system and office asset such as: workstations, offices, staff lockers, parking of company and employee vehicles.Assist the Senior Regional Facilities Manager in monitoring and managing costs to meet budget alongside Senior Facilities AdministratorLiaison with building management and after-hours access and building issuesTeam leader during emergency situations and business impacting events that require BCP plan to be adhered to.Assist with corrective measures resulting from audits / assessments to ensure compliance with HSE obligations and policies:Work with the facilities team to maintain a tidy, safe, and functional working environment.Assist Senior Regional Facilities Manager in supporting Office leaders in your region.What you’ll bring to WSP:Completion of a post-secondary Diploma related to field is desirable or certifications;Min 8 years’ experience in similar role.Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Outlook.Experience with document formatting & production.Experience working with a large organization desirable.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to manage people effectively.Strong communication and relationship-building skills.A demonstrated commitment to providing quality service and work.Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.A proactive and enthusiastic team player.A self-starter who can work independently.Adherence to the requirements of WSP systems as set out in the company policies, manuals, procedures and guidelines.Ensure duties are performed in a professional and timely manner.Demonstrate adherence to confidentiality requirements and maintain a high level of ethical behaviour.Key personal attributes:Is organized and proactive, approachable, dependable.Works well under pressure and juggling multiple priorities.Lives the company vision and values.Presents professional image.Manages self under pressure.Adopts 'Best for WSP' approach in day-to-day activities.Salary range (in British Columbia): $61,600 to $84,700About Us:WSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
