Working with a vibrant, fun-loving, interesting, and fast-paced technology company‑a beloved Vancouver organization Directly supporting the Manager of Global Facilities. Contract role with full‑time hours. Starts Nov 17th and runs to mid‑January with high chance for contract extension. Contractor can also be considered for a permanent employee role. Who the Company Our client is a large, very admired, and highly successful Canadian company in the tech sector. They have a vibrant corporate culture with fantastic people to work with and learn from. What the Role On behalf of our client, SWIM is seeking a Senior Coordinator, Global Facilities. The Sr Coordinator will coordinate activities and events, liaise with external vendors (food services, construction, repair, equipment, etc.) and maintain an excellent in‑office experience for employees. The Senior Coordinator will track budgets, will use the Zendesk ticketing system for various offices, and will support health & safety initiatives in the office. Using Google suite and Mac computers. This is a contract role to start—ASAP start and running until mid‑January, with good chance for extension and the opportunity to be converted to a permanent full‑time employee. SWIM has placed several people on contract at this company who have converted to permanent. SWIM will provide interested candidates with a full job description. Who the Candidate We are seeking an individual with at least 4 years of recent and relevant work experience in facilities management, workplace operations, or office management. Experience in a multi‑office company is required, and experience with a global company is preferred. Experience using a ticketing system such as Zendesk is highly preferred. Experience working in a fast‑paced tech company is a significant asset, but not required. Qualified candidates will be adept at liaising between various stakeholders (internal and external). We are looking for people who are confident and dynamic, with a sense of urgency and excellent verbal and written communication skills How Much Competitive hourly consulting rate commensurate with calibre and relevance of facilities experience and skills, likely in the range of $26 to $30 an hour. Located outside of downtown Vancouver, walking distance from SkyTrain, Canada Line, and bus stations.
