As we expand, we are seeking talented individuals who are eager to grow with us. We are currently looking for a Superintendent to work in the GTA for our current and upcoming mausoleums projects. Our upcoming project is more precisely located in Vaughan, ON.Your mandate:As part of the construction team and under the direction of the Ontario General Superintendent, you will work in collaboration with the various teams and subcontractors on the different worksites for CMC . It implies, among others, to lead and manage the delivery of buildings to be constructed in one worksite, to manage simultaneously CMC employees & subcontractors of different trades involved in the construction' sequence. Finally, you will also have to take charge of scheduling our project's different phases of construction according to OSHA regulations in place and to do everything to avoid injuries and accidents on your worksite.Key ResponsibilitiesWorksite management•Ensure physical organization and cleanliness of worksite•Read, analyze and ensure compliance with plans and specifications•Coordinate inspections by various professionals (soil engineers, building inspectors, etc.)•Ensure compliance with work schedules, deadlines and production objectives•Deliver compliant, quality jobsites on schedule•Organize and direct daily meetings with foremen or subcontractors related to operations•Control the supply and safe storage of materials, equipment and tools•Ensure conformity and quality of work, materials and products in order to accelerate the release of holdbacks on contracts•Complete required reports•Participate in work planning with the project manager•Ensure that company policies and procedures are followed by all team members•All other related tasksPersonnel management•Effectively manage the site, foremen, survey crew, subcontractors and site personnel.•Participate sporadically in the recruitment of personnel•Promote and ensure compliance with the safety program among staff and participate in improvement measures.•Encourage performance, good working relationships, respect and team spirit.Required Knowledge and Skills•At least 10 years 'experience as a commercial/industrial Superintendent•Minimum 10 years of experience as a Carpenter Foreman, Concrete Finisher or an equivalent Trade•ESSENTIAL: Strong framing skills, experience with concrete formwork, placing, and finishing are all essentials to the position•ASSET: Experience with recent technology in worksite management systems - notably ProCore•ASSET: Experienced with multi-million dollar construction projects, as well as smaller ones•Intermediate proficiency in English, both spoken and written.•Comfort with regular administrative IT tool like MS Office (Outlook, Excel & Word)•Excellent organizational and prioritization skills•Familiarity with regulations specific to various trades.•Valid health and safety training for construction job sites (WHMIS, Working at Heights, etc.).•Knowledge of and adherence to safety standards through OHSA training and practical experience.•Valid driver's license.•Carpenter certification considered an asset.Personal Attributes (or other requirements)• Respectful and professional demeanor.• Ability to make quick, informed, and innovative decisions.• Attention to detail and a focus on customer satisfaction.• Strong teamwork skills and commitment to safe practices.• Commitment to a long-term career in the field, viewing the role as more than just a job.• Must have a valid social security card• Willingness to become member of a Union - depending on project & project's locations.Benefits• All-year Work• Competitive wages with potential for long-term employment and career opportunities• Company collective benefits package• On-site parking available at job sites.
