The role supports ensuring equipment performs reliably, through strong predictive and preventative maintenance programs, collaboration with trades, and proactive problem solving. The position is permanent, full-time, on site in Tiverton, Ontario, with shift options (days, afternoons, nights) depending on business needs.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain systems that fuel and control nuclear reactors and supporting systems.Install, troubleshoot, modify, and repair instrumentation, electronics, and electrical equipment.Work with experienced technicians to build knowledge in a dynamic, hands-on environment.Operate within safety requirements and follow established maintenance practices.Knowledge and SkillsDevelop core competencies through structured training, mentorship, and hands-on experience:Technical Foundations: Electrical, electronic, instrumentation, and control systems used in nuclear operations; ability to read technical drawings and schematics.Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Routine inspections, basic troubleshooting, and repair/calibration support under supervision.Safety and Compliance: Safety protocols, radiation protection, environmental standards; awareness of hazards in confined spaces, at heights, and in radiological, chemical, electrical, and mechanical environments.Tool and Equipment Use: Proficiency with diagnostic tools and maintenance equipment; accurate record-keeping and preventive maintenance.Problem Solving and Communication: Identify issues, propose solutions, contribute to continuous improvement; clear documentation and teamwork.Education and ExperienceSuccessful completion of Grade 12 and an Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent (GED).Minimum 2-year Diploma from a College of Applied Arts and Technology in electrical, electronics, instrumentation/control or computer technology (or equivalent as determined by OACETT).Ability to complete Bruce Power-specific training and ministry apprenticeship requirements to obtain qualifications.Experience with maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems in a nuclear or power-generation setting is an asset.Note: Candidates MUST attach a copy of their completed diploma to their profile.
