Quality Control Inspector - Nuclear Industry

**Duration**: Beginning of September to mid-November

**Summary**:
Intech International Inc. (Intech) is a leading supplier of specialized non-destructive examination (NDE), maintenance, and staff augmentation services. Centrally based in Ontario, our expert team of experienced and certified technicians and engineers provide advanced and conventional NDE and related solutions to the nuclear industry, in conjunction with the latest in inspection equipment technology.

While working at Intech, you can expect to be integrated into a team where you will have an immediate impact.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct inspections and tests on incoming materials, in-process components, and final products related to nuclear systems.
- Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and quality requirements in accordance with nuclear codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section III, NQA-1, CSA N299/N285).
- Document non-conformances, generate inspection reports, and follow through on corrective actions.
- Perform dimensional, weld, and visual inspections using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Verify and validate fabrication, assembly, and installation activities.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and safety teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
- Participate in audits (internal and external) and support regulatory inspections.
- Ensure all work is carried out in strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies, including nuclear safety culture protocols.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent; technical diploma or certification in mechanical, nuclear, or quality-related fields preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of quality control experience in a highly regulated industry; nuclear industry experience strongly preferred.
- CWB Level 1 or CGSB PT 2 certified or working toward certifications.
- Knowledge of quality management systems and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, CSA N299, NQA-1).
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
- Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., CNSC, ASME, CSA).
- Valid Site Access clearance for OPG or Bruce Power is required (if OPG only, an inter-utility transfer will need to be completed).
- Strong interpersonal skills in order to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
- Practice of good judgment, discretion, and confidentiality of sensitive information regarding department activities.
- Sharp attention to detail with the ability to anticipate problems to prevent delays and ensure success of the project.
- Ability to communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds and various levels of management.

**Working Conditions**:

- Work performed in both shop floor and field environments (i.e., nuclear generating stations and fabrication facilities).
- Exposure to radiation-controlled zones; appropriate PPE and training provided.
- Working at heights and in confined spaces of varying temperatures.
- Working 12-hour or longer shifts on days or nights.
- Valid Site Access clearance for OPG or Bruce Power is required (if OPG only, an inter-utility transfer will need to be completed).

Pay: $23.00-$34.42 per hour

Schedule:

- 12 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Night shift
- Weekends as needed
