Overview: We are seeking a skilled and innovative Instrumentation Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering and experience with various instrumentation systems. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining instrumentation systems that enhance our manufacturing processes and ensure optimal performance. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop instrumentation systems, including schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues in existing systems.
  • Utilize AutoCAD, Revit, and MicroStation for system design and documentation.
  • Collaborate on project scheduling to ensure timely delivery of engineering projects.
  • Implement signal processing techniques to improve system performance.
  • Develop firmware for programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and other embedded systems.
  • Perform debugging and testing of instrumentation systems using tools such as oscilloscopes and ohmmeters.
  • Review engineering deliverables for power demand summaries (construction and emergency), temporary and permanent electrical service plans, cable routing, and duct bank layouts
  • Identify early design constraints affecting future nuclear I&C systems, and support transformer and switchyard envelope planning and site layout integration
  • Advise on installation phasing for commissioning and energization of systems

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50.00-$60.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Experience:

  • Electrical and Instrumentation: 5 years (required)
