Job Overview

Are you ready to take on a pivotal role that combines financial expertise with visionary leadership? As the Director of Finance & Information Services at Elmwood, you will be at the forefront of our exciting journey towards a brighter future. Utilizing a fund accounting model, you will oversee effective financial management, information services, data collection, record keeping, reporting, risk management, and auditing for our organization.

Elmwood is on the cusp of significant expansions, including the growth of Community Homes and the Disability Service Sector Community Hub – a groundbreaking, inclusive collaborative community of services. We are seeking a dynamic, forward-thinking leader to join our team and make a profound impact in our community.

Ensure the integrity of financial data, complying with legislation, accounting principles, best practices, agreements, and Elmwood policies.Present monthly financial statements and reserve schedules to the Executive Director, Audit and Finance Committee, and Board of Directors.Monitor financial performance against departmental and consolidated operating budgets in consultation with the Executive Director.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations, government remittances, payroll reconciliations, and more.Supervise finance department staff, including Fund Development and Trust Accounting, and serve as a liaison with IT service providers, banking services, insurance providers, and other major service providers.Ensure effective internal controls and compliance with accounting principles.Support the development of organizational risk management strategies.Qualifications

· Bachelor of Commerce, Accounting degree or Business Administration degree

· CPA designation

· Minimum five years of proven successful experience in a leadership role in a complex and/or diverse health care or organization of a similar size. p>

· Experience with QuickBooks Online, financial analysis, budget management, and contract administration is considered an asset.
