Lead Messaging EngineerOur Digital Workforce Experience (DWE) team develops and supports all endpoint, collaboration, identity and innovative tools that touch over 8000 ResMedians globally on a day-to-day basis. We are a team that focuses on building and enhancing systems, applications, and infrastructure to provide the best productivity solutions. p>
This Lead Messaging Engineer will design, build and enhance our Unified Communications Platform. You will help execute on all systems DWE builds with specific focuses on mail-flow, messaging security, and MS Teams Telephony all within a complex hybrid environment (Exchange 2013/O365). This leader will help develop Platform Engineers to be able to support the business in an effective and secure manner while innovating ResMed’s overall communications ecosystem.
DWE is a full cycle team that builds and provides support to our Technical Support team as well as other IT business, you have a sense of urgency and a passion for our end users. You will focus on understanding the cross-functional BUs and ensure we have the right tools for scalability, automation, and next-generation enhancements. We value performance, simplicity and scalability in our designs.
Let's Talk about the Role- Lead a dedicated stream of platform engineers focused on unified communication (MS Exchange Hybrid 2019/O365 and MS Teams telephony).
- Configure and manage Exchange Hybrid environments with O365 and on-premise systems.
- Coaching, mentoring, and leading Platform Engineers globally, helping to develop their skills and see the impact they are making across the organization.
- Drive team to document system configurations, standards, and procedures ensuring industry and security standards are met.
- Be the voice and brand of our ecosystem, ensuring communication to the end users is effective and what is needed for each specific user.
- Drive to educate cross-functional teams’ skills in the BM/O365 space that will result in a better end user experience.
- Manage the distribution of workload among the team and monitor day-to-day operations to ensure that incidents are effectively resolved within SLA targets.
- Provide training and support on Exchange Online migration and Calendar Sharing/Collaboration, Teams telephony.
- Respond and work with the incident management team for escalations and complete service requests within the established SLAs, offering best practice recommendations.
- Look to enhance the ecosystem and build project plans and provide updates to business leaders and stakeholders.Qualifications and Experience
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- 5+ years progressive experience managing Exchange Hybrid environments and O365.
- In-depth understanding of MS Exchange 2019 and Office 365 Management Suite, including knowledge of PowerShell.
- Sound judgment and ability to effectively balance information risk controls with business productivity and growth.
- Ability to communicate technical information to diverse audiences that include senior management and non-technical leaders/ResMedians.
- Previous experience deploying upgrades and conducting UAT.
- Experience supporting Microsoft suite of tools.
- Ability to work collaboratively across interdisciplinary teams and manage relationships across multiple areas of the business including Audit, Compliance, and other executive stakeholders.
