This may include case management, crisis intervention, and supportive counseling. li>Housing-focused short-term case management, eviction prevention, supportive counselling, education, and advocacy Provide eviction prevention services to youth, women, and families who are at imminent risk of homelessness and/or need intensive short-term support to stabilize and maintain housing Must be willing to assist in a hands-on capacity with the creation and implementation of client-centred housing plans Answer phones, determine program eligibility, conduct assessments and program intakes. Work is done in the office and within the community during home visits, accompaniment to appointments, attending Landlord and Tenant Board hearings, and meeting with other community agencies Post-secondary education in Social Service or a related field is required Minimum 1-year related experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in Social Services or a related field Have strong knowledge of and experience working with a range of issues impacting youth, women, and families including homelessness, violence against women and children, poverty, mental illness, and substance use Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills, verbal and written communication, time management and organization, and ability to prioritize workload Valid G license required Fluency in a 2nd language is an asset Be a part of a caring TEAM THAT SUPPORTS OUR LOCAL COMMUNITY Staff recognition programs along with access to self-care supports and EMPLOYEE / FAMILY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM(EAP) Good Shepherd has a mandatory verification of COVID-19 vaccination policy.
