We are looking for a dynamic individual that can lead Royal Mail’s relationships with all international multilateral organisations. This role will develop and execute the policies and approaches that will enable the efficient exchange of international mail, as well as policies that support Royal Mail’s move towards becoming a parcel centric business.

This role will ensure Royal Mail’s policies are agreed with key stakeholders, building consensus, and driving change at institutional levels, to enable and support the commercial interests of Royal Mail Group through key platforms. This role also offers high financial impact as owner of the Terminal Due process, whilst also being an ambassadorial role for Royal Mail Group, representing the company on the global stage.
This is a Hybrid working role with a requirement to attend our Heathrow Worldwide Distribution Centre or Farringdon office, with flexibility required in line with business needs. Some international travel to Switzerland will also be required at least once or twice a month. Collaborate with the wide range of internal and external stakeholders to design, negotiate and implement Royal Mail policies for managing and developing multilateral bodies.
International Multilateral Organisations
- Managing strategic discussions within the multilateral environment as well as all day to day postal and government relations.
- Fully understanding Royal Mail’s businesses, objectives, corporate structure and all and any opportunity for business growth for or potential business risks. Work proactively to seek any growth and mitigate any risks.
- Manage the day-to-day interactions with multilateral bodies, being able to represent RMG effectively in all meetings including working groups and the international UPU congress.
- Act as an ambassador for the RMG brand, ensuring the highest levels of professionalism and ethics are displayed at all times.
Terminal Dues
- Own and manage the global remuneration policy (Terminal Dues) ensuring best outcomes for RMG from a cost and pricing perspective. influencing and negotiating skills, political awareness, and sound commercial judgement is essential for this role.
