This individual will work hands-on with features and signage, assist with inspections and maintenance, and promote responsible park use by engaging with guests and enforcing terrain park rules. This role is ideal for individuals with strong freestyle skiing/snowboarding skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a passion for safe, progressive terrain park experiences.Roles and Responsibilities:Ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests by enforcing the Alpine Responsibility Code and Terrain Park GuidelinesPromote positive behavior and freestyle etiquette, educating users on smart terrain park useMonitor park activity and report unsafe conditions, behavior, or equipment issues to supervisors immediatelyConduct daily terrain park inspections, including documentation of park logs, safety checks, and feature conditionsAssist with the setup, teardown, and ongoing maintenance of park features, fencing, and signageRake, shape, and maintain jumps, rails, boxes, and other features throughout the shift to ensure rideability and safetySupport with accident response and communicate incidents to Ski Patrol or other departments as neededServe as a point of contact for guests in the terrain park, providing information, assistance, and feedbackRemain alert and proactive in identifying potential hazards or guest concernsParticipate in pre-season and ongoing training programs, including safety protocols, equipment handling, and emergency responseAssist other departments when operational needs ariseBe available to support special events, terrain park competitions, or demos with setup, promotion, and takedownKey Qualifications:Confident freestyle skiing or snowboarding ability, capable of navigating all features in the parkAbility to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environmentStrong verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAble to consistently lift up to 45 lbs (20.4 kg) and perform other physically demanding tasksComfortable working long hours outdoors in all weather conditionsDetail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and guest serviceProactive, observant, and committed to enforcing safety standards professionallyPrior experience working in a terrain park, with freestyle featuresAdditional Requirements:Passion for snow sports, outdoor recreation, and guest engagementStrong people skills: approachable, empathetic, and a good listenerMust be flexible and available to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and during peak periods (e.g., Christmas, March Break)Must provide your own Black snow pants (no logos), CSA Z263.1, ASTM F2040, EN 1077, or Snell RS 98 certified ski/snowboard helmet and ski/snowboard equipmentOther uniform components per Chicopee’s uniform policyA Chicopee uniform jacket will be provided upon receipt of a $100 refundable deposit and signed UniformRequired Certifications: PSIC, CSIA, or CASIYou have, or can use our Human Resource platform to obtain, the following certificates: WHMIS; Ladder Safety; Ontario Health & Safety Awareness (OHSA); Workplace Violence & Harassment (Bill 168 & 132); Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA); IASR: Information and Communications Standards and Employment Standards; Understanding Human Rights; Safe Lifting; Gender and Sexual Diversity; Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB); Safe Food Handling (for Food and Beverage Employees) TrainingA satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) is required if you are 18 years of age or older. #J-18808-Ljbffr
