Our brand continues to be an innovative, forward-thinking leader in hospitality, and we currently operate 19 hotel properties and additional affiliated businesses.
Responsibilities & QualificationsScope of Responsibility:
Reporting to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing, the Group Sales Manager will identify, create, and pursue new business opportunities, establish great relationships with clients and maintain customer loyalties in the hospitality industry. The ability to communicate, present and negotiate with all levels of management within a prospective company over the phone, in person and by email is essential for success in this position.
Our Group Sales Manager role is critical to the ongoing success of our business. The ideal candidate is also a proactive self-starter who can help promote our wonderful destinations and grow our market share, while also servicing our existing clients.
The Group Sales Manager will be responsible for the following tasks:
Conduct research on prospective new clients and markets to pursue, and follow-up with introductory phone calls and/or emails. Must be comfortable with cold-calling and doing in-person sales calls.Directly manage and maintain client accounts and relationships.Collaborate with the hotel General Managers to ensure cohesiveness with sales activities.Other sales activities as assigned.Required Experience & Assets:
- Minimum 3 years of sales experience. Direct experience in hotel sales will be considered a strong asset.
- Willingness to travel to the various Prestige properties and feeder markets if required.
- Experience in developing and executing successful sales or business strategies.
- A passion for sales and target-based performance.
- A diploma, degree, or equivalent experience in sales, tourism and hospitality, business development or other relevant business field.
- Computer efficient in all Microsoft Office applications and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
Compensation and Perks:
The successful candidate for this position will receive a competitive starting salary of $65,000, three weeks vacation, extended health and dental benefits, free parking downtown Kelowna, and discounts on restaurants and Prestige properties across BC.
