Administrative Support - Level II, Payroll (People & Culture) (Telework/Hybrid) Position Title: Administrative Support - Level II, Payroll (People & Culture) (Telework/Hybrid)Status of Employment: Permanent CBC/Radio-Canada creates content that informs, entertains and connects Canadians on multiple platforms. The HR Shared Services‑Payroll team seeks a Payroll Administrative Support (Workday) to provide administrative and transactional support for payroll events, working within CBC standard operations, HR Policies, Collective Agreements, tax legislation and labor standards. This role is a hybrid work arrangement. Work schedule will be discussed with the hiring Manager per departmental guidelines. The position requires independent judgment within complex parameters. Responsibilities Third‑party payments – RRSPs, credit unions, union dues. Set up and pay employee garnishments and liaise with agencies. Coordinate with unions to verify member payments. Process payroll for Performers and Corporate Payroll groups. Analyze salary queries and resolve payment discrepancies. Cancel or adjust payments as needed. Administer salary advances. Reconcile payroll accounts in SAP monthly. Prepare year‑end tax forms. Recover accounts receivable across pay systems.Respond to Service Canada inquiries. Reconcile employee pre‑payment benefits. Process Records of Employment. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or equivalent. Minimum 2 years of related experience, preferably at CBC or a similar organization. Knowledge of Workday or comparable pay‑processing systems. Knowledge of Federal and Provincial tax laws is an asset. Attention to detail, strong concentration, analytical and problem‑solving skills. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and customer‑service skills. Strong judgment, initiative, resourcefulness, discretion and diplomacy. Ability to handle confidential information. Bilingualism required. Willingness to work overtime. Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.
