In this role, you will lead the development and implementation of best-practice engineering and project management processes within Project Delivery Framework (PDF). You will work closely with leadership, cross-functional teams, and our major utility client to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery of services aligned with both CIMA+ and client requirements.Primary ResponsibilitiesProject Management System:Provide leadership across functional groups to ensure delivery practices align with Project Management System and are consistently appliedCollaborate with leadership to prioritize initiatives, and with working committees to advance the PDF and continuous improvement initiativesDesign and maintain systems, procedures, and templates that support engineering and project delivery (e.g., quality control, engineering, project management, subconsultant management, safety management, Onboarding)Drive continuous improvement in engineering, project delivery, and contract management workflows to enhance efficiency and effectivenessDevelop and manage tools that support contract oversight, including resource forecastingLead the rollout of new processes, including communication, training, and project supportIntegrate CIMA+’s ISO Quality Management System with contract-specific quality requirementsContract ManagementWork with the CIMA+ Directors to foster relationship and respond to client requestsCoordinate regular relationship development meetings across project delivery and engineering teamsPrepare and deliver performance, status, and risk reports for senior management and clientsPresent materials the Client and facilitate meetings to support collaboration and joint continuous improvementParticipate in internal strategic discussions and support the implementation of key initiativesCapture lessons learned and share best practices to strengthen organizational maturityCoordinate and prepare documentation for client audits, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and industry standardsOnboarding And Learning DevelopmentDevelop and oversee onboarding and training programs to enhance delivery capabilities for new and existing staffDeliver workshops and training sessions to strengthen project execution skills and encourage consistencyMaintain training materials, resource libraries, and training records to support staff development and client auditsMonitor time and budgets allocated for training and administrative tasksQualificationsDegree or diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 10 years’ experience in Project Management, Management Consulting, Business Operations, or Change Management, preferably experience in engineering consulting or utilities sectorDemonstrated experience leading the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in a complex organization and dynamic environmentsExcellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholdersExtremely well organized, collaborative, proactive and results-drivenFamiliarity with BC Hydro’s Project and Portfolio Management System (PPM) Information Centre, Program and Contract Management (PCM) Information Centre, and Engineering and Design Standards is considered an asset.Professional Engineering (P.Eng.) or Project Management Professional (PMP) designation is considered an assetThe expected salary for this position is from $115,000 to $140,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
