Squamish Nation consists of 23 villages and is comprised of descendants of the Coast Salish Aboriginal people who live in the present-day Greater Vancouver area, Gibson’s Landing, and Squamish River watershed. The Squamish Nation has occupied and governed the territory since beyond recorded history. The Squamish Nation's culture is rich and resilient. As an organization, we provide support to the greater Squamish Nation Community through service. With 12 departments with individual areas of expertise, we ensure Community Members have access to necessary programs and services.
**ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY**:
In accordance with the Vision, Mission and Values, and strategic directions of Squamish Nation and the Yúustway 10 Year Community Health Plan, the Quality Improvement Manager (QIM) fulfills the key function of organizationally leading health system and service improvements; including the ongoing coordination of health services accreditation as well as continuous quality improvement efforts. They inspire participation and actions that strengthen culturally safe care and quality health and wellness services.
Working closely and collaboratively with organizational staff, particularly Yúustway’s Director, Management Team, and Leadership, the chosen accrediting body, and other partners, the QIM is responsible for overseeing and leading the accreditation process within the organization. They provide information about the process, coordinate meetings and workshops, as well as training and development. They will collaboratively design and implement improvement activities with the Director and Management Team, and ensure identified priorities and timelines are met.
The QIM also promotes and builds awareness of the value of accreditation and the benefits of continuous quality improvement across the organization and within the community, inspiring sustainable change. The QIM bridges the past and the future in the organization’s journey toward quality improvement.

- Effective and tactful communicator with advanced interpersonal skills. Ability to speak confidently in public situations and to communicate clearly and professionally in writing and orally.
- Ability to coordinate and collaborate with a group of people with different views, experiences, and personalities, to ensure they are cooperative, collaborative and focused on organizational goals, to successfully design and implement a project.
- Team-oriented with a positive, approachable attitude.
**Starting Salary**: $90,464 annually, plus a comprehensive benefits program.
