As the Functional Data Lead for Magna’s North America Payroll Implementation, your primary responsibility will be to ensuring validation, compliance, and accuracy of the data related to the implementation of a new payroll system. You will work closely with Magna’s Groups and Divisions to gather and validate data, advise on data cleansing and transformation, and provide insights and recommendations based on your analysis.

Your Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the SI and Vendor to understand all data requirements for the payroll system implementation.
  2. Collaborate with the automation and integration teams to build transformation and validation logic.
  3. Guide Groups and Divisions through understanding Data quality, validation processes, and gates.
  4. Gather, validate, and analyze data from various sources, ensuring data completeness, quality, and accuracy.
  5. Lead and perform data validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and consistency between different systems.
  6. Guide Divisions through manual data cleansing if required.
  7. Test transformation logic to ensure data consistency and integrity.
  8. Participate in the integration and migration of data to the new payroll system – review and correct load errors.
  9. Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data, and provide insights and recommendations to optimize payroll processes.
  10. Work closely with stakeholders to understand their data analysis needs and provide customized reports and analysis.
  11. Assist in the development and implementation of data quality control measures to ensure data integrity.
  12. Stay updated with industry best practices and trends in payroll compliance, data analysis, and implement them within the payroll implementation process.
Who we are looking for
  1. Knowledge of payroll processes, systems, and compliance requirements.
  2. Proven experience as a data analyst or similar role, preferably in the payroll domain.
  3. Strong proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Excel, Power BI, or Tableau.
  4. Strong data manipulation and data cleansing skills.
  5. Knowledge of database management systems, data warehousing, and data integration concepts.
  6. Ability to interpret complex data and present insights in a clear and concise manner.

  1. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data analysis.
