Magna International is a leading mobility technology company with a rich history of innovation. We're seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our team and drive the adoption of data science, analytics, and computer vision across our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop strategies for statistical analysis, machine learning, and AI tools to enhance product development, manufacturing, and business processes.
  • Plan and execute ML and AI initiatives, including small-scale implementations.
  • Conceptualize and implement machine learning solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Regularly update senior management on project progress.
  • Occasionally hire, lead, and evaluate indirect hires such as summer students.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field with 7+ years of experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field with 10+ years of experience.
  • Strong background in data analytics and computer vision.
  • PhD preferred.
  • Experience with diverse ML and AI techniques and algorithms.
  • Computer vision and 3D reconstruction experience.
  • Knowledge of C++.
  • Agile project management tools experience (Confluence and JIRA).
  • Experience with cloud-based tools (Microsoft, AWS, Databricks).
  • Proficiency in Python for statistical and machine learning models.
  • Data management with PySpark and SQL.
  • Experience with DevOps tools (GIT, Docker, CI/CD).
